We love our Maggie!!

Maggie
We got Maggie in August of 2002 from Athens Canine Rescue and we couldn't be happier!!  She is a wonderful playmate for Holly and a great walkie-buddy for mommy.  .

Milo
We have only had Milo with us for a couple of months, but we had a built-in love for him already.  He is the offspring of two dearly beloved cats we had years ago, Astro and Breyer, and he reminds us very much of them.  His mom-Sarah  left for an artist's retreat in Vermont, and alas she could not take him with her.  So, seven and one half years later, we get our old kitten back!

Due to an unfortunate scratching incident, Milo has been declared unmutual and must remain outside.

Edited to add: Milo has been officially declared mutual again.  Sweet kitty!  We just wait until the girls are in bed before we let him in.  In fact, he is lying next to me on the computer desk as I type this

Sweet Pepper

Pepper
Pepper and her brother Scout were abandoned a few years ago in a trailer.  We were lucky enough to adopt both of them.  Sadly, Scout is no longer with us, but we are grateful to know and love Pepper.

Ixie
Strange name, but there is a story behind it.  Around November 2001, a black kitten started hanging around.  We decided to adopt her, so we named her Dixie and took her to the vet to have her spayed.  The vet, however, told us that not only was she not a kitten, but that she was about four years old and had probably already been fixed because she had a scar on her tummy,  So you can imagine our surprise when, in March 2002, she had a litter of kittens: Wicket, Sprocket, Trixie, and Pixie.  Eventually we had just the Ixies left:  Dixie, Trixie, and Pixie.  They were absolutely identical in every way.  Solid black, same build, height, eyes, same everything.  Only one is now with us, and we have no idea which one she is.  So we call her Ixie.
